The ferry terminal for Bréhat Island is located at Pointe de l’Arcouest, 45 kilometers from our campground. From there, it takes about ten minutes by boat to reach the archipelago. It’s very easy to plan a day trip, with a return to the campground in time for dinner.
How much time should you set aside to visit Bréhat?
To really explore Bréhat, plan on spending at least one day there. You can explore the archipelago on foot or by bike in 3 to 4 hours, which gives you plenty of time to discover the two islands, the Paon Lighthouse, the Saint-Michel Chapel, and the many flower-lined trails. Be sure to check the ferry schedules before you go.
What to do on a day trip to Bréhat Island?
A day on Bréhat Island typically includes a stroll along the flower-lined paths to the Paon Lighthouse, a stop at the Saint-Michel Chapel to take in the panoramic view of the archipelago, and lunch at one of the restaurants in the village. Bikes, picnics, and cameras are all welcome.
